Thousands of individually cut layers of cedar comprise the many sculptural units in this series of commissioned wall installations. Premised on a single gestural line drawing and a repetitive cutting process, accidental variations in cutting and layering create the drifting, diminishing forms. Like canyons shaped through the passage of time, these forms evoke cycles of both erosion and accumulation.
