Elegy consists of four monumental structures that present an enigmatic interplay of human and non-human processes. Evidence of time and process pervade, as if the forms are in process of restoration, preservation, or disintegration. Heightening the viewer’s visual and spatial experience, the piece welcomes exploration from all perspectives, both at eye-level and from above. With forms that evoke simultaneously human design and natural growth, Elegy explores these contradictory themes on a colossal scale.
